What were you hoping to improve?
I’ve played golf since I was 10, but never had a single lesson. I just picked up the game and played the best I could. Now at 76, I play off a 23 handicap and still love every round.
When Scot met me at the Las Vegas Country Club, I wasn’t planning on getting fitted but when I saw all the components laid out and heard how dialled in the process could be, I decided to give it a go.
My long game had been solid. Drives, fairway woods, approaches but my putting was off. I didn’t feel confident standing over the ball. That’s what I wanted to change.
What surprised you during the fitting?
The biggest surprise was seeing my putting stroke on video. The ball was actually coming off the green for the first five inches. I had no idea.
Scot recommended a 1-degree loft based on the footage. The software also pointed me toward a center-shafted head and we chose a grip that felt completely natural. We started with 7 gram weights, but after testing, 5 grams felt better in my hands.
Once we dialled it all in, I sank 9 out of 10 putts on the Las Vegas Country Club practice green. That said it all.
How does it feel now when you putt?
Confident.
I haven’t played a full round yet, but I’ve been practicing on a regulation green and sank 16 out of 20 from 10 feet.
I believe I can make the putt from 5 feet. From 10 feet. Even get close from 30. The putter just feels pure. It’s accurate and it removes doubt. That shift in mindset is everything.
What would you tell someone on the fence?
I never would’ve thought getting fitted for a putter made sense. Now I wouldn’t go without it.
After going through the process with Fine-Tuned, my confidence is through the roof. I genuinely believe I can take 6 to 8 strokes off my score. Instead of shooting 94, I feel ready to post 86 or even lower. From the white tees. At 76.
It’s changed my game. Big time.
